The Westend Logistics project focused on developing a cohesive brand identity and digital presence for a growing logistics and freight company based in Kampala. The goal was to create a modern, trustworthy, and scalable brand that reflects the company’s commitment to reliability, efficiency, and global connectivity. The project covered full brand identity design, brand guidelines, and website design direction.
Problem
Westend Logistics lacked a unified brand system that could consistently communicate its value across different touchpoints. As a logistics provider operating in a competitive and trust-driven industry, the absence of a strong visual identity made it difficult to stand out, build credibility, and maintain consistency across print, digital, and physical assets. Additionally, there was no structured framework to guide future brand applications, leading to potential inconsistencies in communication and presentation.
Solution
To address these challenges, I developed a comprehensive brand identity system anchored on clarity, professionalism, and consistency. The solution included designing a distinctive logo system with clear usage rules, defining a vibrant yet professional color palette, and selecting modern, legible typography (Montserrat and Inter) to enhance readability across all platforms.
I created detailed brand guidelines covering logo usage, spacing, typography hierarchy, and color application to ensure consistency across all materials. The identity was extended into practical applications such as business stationery, marketing materials, branded merchandise, and vehicle graphics to create a strong real-world presence.
For the digital experience, I established a structured web design system using grid-based layouts, responsive design principles, and clear content hierarchy to ensure usability and adaptability across devices. The website direction emphasized simplicity, strong visuals, and easy navigation, aligning with the brand’s focus on efficiency and reliability.
Conclusion
The final outcome is a cohesive and scalable brand identity that positions Westend Logistics as a reliable and professional logistics partner in East Africa. By aligning visual identity with business values, the brand now communicates trust, efficiency, and modernity across all touchpoints.
